Gen. Mathias Wenda: Welcome Melanesian Nation-States Leaders to West Papua, Your Own Homeland

The West Papua Revolutionary Army (WPRA) expresses gratitude and  sends a warm welcome message to the foreign ministers of Melanesian Nation-State for finally paying a visit to West Papua, the original homeland of All Melanesian Race. The note is signed by both the Commander in Chief (Gen. Mathias Wenda) and his Secretary-General (Lt. Gen. Amunggut Tabi).

The letter says, “Welcome to your own homeland! Here is the place, where all of us Melanesian came into existence and then spread across the archipelago!” The letter then continues,

“Melanesians in West Papua have the same right and ownership of this part of our Island our brothers and sisters across Melanesian archipelago. This is our place of origin. Tens of thousands of years ago, you left this place, and asked us to take care of it. We did, successfully for more than 50 thousands years since we separated, but finally we failed. We are very sorry for that. We could not keep this part of our Island fully for the sake of the future of our Melanesian race. This part of your place of origin is unfortunately already occupied by foreigners for almost a century now.”

The letter says the Isle of New Guinea is the future of Melanesia, particularly in facing the uncertain future of tens of thousands of small islands in the South Pacific Region that will finally sink into the sea due to climate change and global warming. Then it urges modern Melanesian nation-states leaders to come again any time they wish. General Wenda says:

I am myself a tribal Chief, just taking the role as Commander in Chief of West Papua Revolutionary Army while waiting for all Melanesian armed forces to join us and fight against illegal occupation of our ancestral land. What will happen if we allow Indonesia occupy and take over West Papua? Doesn’t it mean that it has a long-term plan to occupy the other half of this Island as well? If that happens, then what is the future of all Melanesian nation-states? What are we going to do with our brothers and sisters in small islands in our Melanesian archipelago? Will Australia accept them? No, of course not. You have a place of origin, you have your own second largest Island on earth. Why don’t you take strategic actions now for you won sake?

The letter also states the Office of OPM has been officially set up and he will announce the OPM functionaries in near future and hope that all Melanesian leaders will accept them as their fellow politicians working together to free Melanesia from external incursion and foreign occupation in our Melanesian ancestral lands.

The letter also mentions the name of the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, the name of the Prime Minister of Vanuatu and all Melanesian leaders. General Wenda express his gratitude that this historic visit is executed in January 2014, the year that Gen. Wenda expected for the leaders to visit West Papua. He noted,

“I was a bit worried if the came last month, because every Christmas the Indonesia terror agents in cooperation with military intelligence operate more actively and more openly and even carry out shootings to kill. They are now having a rest after a full-month terror operations across West Papua last month.”

In the closure the letter says in the Names of our ancestors, and for the sake of our future generations, in the names of all our heroes and those who are still alive across Melanesian archipelago, and signed by Gen. WPRA Mathias Wenda, and co-signed by Lt. Gen. TRWP Amunggut Tabi

Jesus Christ is recognized as the King of Peace because not because he came to the world and to befriend with the wickedness, get along with lies and manipulations and regard the sins and death as historical facts that have to be compromised and accepted without efforts to fix them as being the attitude of the current Governor of Papua and Papua Barat and all regents, mayors, district heads and all public servants in Papua Soil.

Jesus Christ came to the world as the King of Peace because he came NOT to harmonize the relationship between human beings and their own sins as being done by NKRI (Unitary Republic of Indonesia) in Papua Soil right now.

Jesus came, from the time of his birth to his rising up the heavens; he never committed a single sin and never allowed or accepted as a compromise or understood the facts that human beings are sinners. Particularly the sins due to the lies and manipulation by the devil, Jesus did not compromise at all. That is exactly why he is the world’s revolutionary supreme commander. All Papuans who call themselves already accepted Jesus, or become Christians should be asking in his heart:

“Should I cooperate with the sins of the NKRI and accept the historical fact that is full of lies and manipulation as a historical fact, even though it is deceitful?”

Jesus is called the King of Peace because he came to carry out total Revolution, once and for ever, and he did so successfully PEACEFULLY. That is why he is called the King of Peace and the month of his birth is called the Peaceful and Joyful month. Therefore, all Christians must know this precisely, that those who carry out shootings, killings and riots in this Month of Peace in Papua Soil or elsewhere in the world are surely done by the enemies of the King of Peace, the troops of the deceivers, and those who do not know the King of Peace.

Jesus came to bring peace between human beings and God as the Creator, the relationship that was disconnected since the fall of human into sin. The fall of man into sin is mainly caused by the Satan as the father of all Liars. He came to recover the lost connection due to the lies.

The struggle to free Papua is a revolution, total remaking of history and nation, to get out from NKRI frame and get away the manipulation of the Netherlands, Indonesia and the United States that had already brought about curse and nightmare to the Papuan peoples. The Revolutionary Army of West Papua carries out the mission and vision of the revolutionary Jesus Christ, that he completed, by preparing our troops in the jungles of New Guinea to first of all to empty themselves and become nothing/ nobody for the truth that the history of West Papua was manipulated, and the truth had been deliberately hidden away, and consistently against the Indonesian lies based on the teaching of the father of liars. Thirdly that the revolution being carried out by the Papuan guerilla fighters is a revolution to bring about everlasting peace between Papuans and Indonesians, a perfect peace without manipulation, a peace based on mutual recognition and respect and helping each other as everlasting neighbors, as human beings, as children of the Lord.

The birth of Jesus as the King of Peace is the beginning of the biggest and worldwide revolution that ever occurred in our human history and in this planet Earth’s history. The peaceful revolution is based upon the truth, and not the reverse. The struggle to Free West Papua should be aimed at finding the truth of the historical facts of the annexation and occupation of West Papua by Indonesia for the peace and stability in our Melanesia and South Pacific regions. This is a holy fight, a struggle to free a nation who is blessed by the Lord, not because the Papuans asking to God to be blessed, but due to the prayers of the Papuan prophets and apostles so that this land and her people is blessed and be filled with one miracle to the other miracle.

WPRA Secretary-General: OPM is not an Armed Wing Organisation, It is a Political Organisation of Free West Papua

It is important for the Papuan peoples wherever you are to understand, that as a civilised nation, we ought to identify ourselves among other names or organisations set up by the colonial power, we need to know exactly that OPM (Organisasi Papua Merdeka) is not a military organisation that carries out guerrila warfare against colonial NKRI (Negara Kesatuan Republik Indoneisa – Unitary Republic of Indonesia). It does not at all.

Therefore, all name or stereotyping by the NKRI during more than 40 years so far, that OPM is an armed organisation and that armed resistance in West Papua carried out by OPM is a systematic and deliberate public lie, orchestrated to paint a wrong image of the OPM. Such action by the Indonesian government has caused problems for the OPM to actively and freely involved in various political campaigns and lobby activities around the world.

Papuan peoples have one armed wing organisation that until November 2006 was called TPN (Tentara Pembebasan Nasional – National Liberation Army) which was then changed into TRWP (Tentara Revolusi West Papua – West Papua Revolutionary Army). TRWP as one and only task, to fight against the Indonesian occupation across the country of West Papua. Since the last 10 years, TRWP has been active in preparing itself to become a professional military organisation with more organised personnel and troops. TRWP actions will no longer be sporadic and unorganised/ uncoordinated as before. More importantly, TRWP is not a terrorist organisation, as it does not carry out military campaign sporadically, nor target public facilities and ordinary peoples.

In fact most of civilian killings in West Papua so far have been carried out by the Indonesian military and police forces.

OPM or Free Papua Organisation is not an armed organisation. All Papuans need to be aware that OPM is not a military organisation.

Besides, the joining of the name TPN with OPM becomes TPN/OPM has been deliberately designed by the colonial NKRI in order to narrow and limit the movement of the OPM itself and finally to band OPM as a terrorist organisation, which never been sucessfull due to OPM and TRWP today have chosen a peaceful way to resolve the conflict.

In November 2006, in the First TPN/OPM Congress in the Jungles of West Papua, TPN/OPM issued some very important resolutions, among others:

1. That the name TPN (Tentara Pembabasan Nasional) has now become TRWP (Tentara Revolusi West Papua);
2. That Organisasi Papua Merdeka (OPM), both organisationally and structurally is separated from the armed wing, TRWP so that OPM can carry out its political and diplomatic activities without intervention from TRWP or conversely TRWP can fully in control of commands inside the Jungles of West Papua, without intervention from politicians abroad;
3. That all military and political campaigns should from now on, be carried out openly and under a clear guidance and order from the Commander in Chief, and in full coordination with the OPM personnel that will be appointed afterwards.

Papuan peoples should not be dragged into the game of the NKRI, because Indonesia is still playing their old songs. Right now TRPB and OPM are building a new foundation, a foundation that is rooted into the peoples/tribes in West Papua, that is strong and that will bring our nation into its freedom. It is not like New Papua as proudly promoted by the Indonesian provincial puppet-governor Barnabas Suebu, the Ifale Tribal Chief.

New Papua and Free West Papua are two different names with different goals and purposes. New Papua is a peacful, democratic Papua, a Papua without conflict and rebellion against the Indonesian occupation, no OPM, and no TRWP.

Organisasi Papua Merdeka is the mother organisation of all organisations ever been set up and campaigning for West Papua independence, be it Papua Presidium Council, be it Koteka Tribal Assembly, be it West Papua National Coallition for Liberation. All these are the children of OPM.

Right now, the mother-organisation is preparing its steps to introduce its new face, personel and structural organisation. Therefore, from the Central Headquarters of the TRWP, we invite all of you, both supporters of Indonesia/ autonomy or those who support independent West Papua, either inside or outside our country, all should be informed earlier now, that OPM is about to launch its Central Office with all persons responsible to organise and manage the OPM as a professional and credible organisation in this modern and civilised world.

From then on, OPM will launch political campaigns around the world, asking for political support, first of all from Melanesian brothers and sisters and then from supporters and supporting organisations around the world.

By that time, then those who have put their lives for the cause, with those who are still fighting for it, and those to come, will witness that OPM is not an organisation connected to any terrorist organisation whatsoever, and it is not an NGO-type organ based abroad, campaigning for donations or human rights issues, and that it is not an organisation in-exile without any clear programmes and plans of actions, but it is a credible, well-organised, professional and accountable political organisation from and for West Papua, campaigning for a Free and Independent West Papua.
